El club inglés Manchester City hizo llegar una oferta al ex técnico del seleccionado argentino Alfio Basile para que reemplace a Mark Hughes.

“He recibido un oferta del Manchester City y de algunos clubes árabes” fueron las palabras del Coco Basile

Basile dirigió a Chacarita Juniors, Rosario Central, Racing Club, Racing, Instituto y Talleres de Córdoba, Huracán, Vélez Sársfield, San Lorenzo, Colón de Santa Fe y Boca Juniors; Nacional, de Uruguay; Atlético de Madrid, de España; y América, de México
